Lantern Moon Ebony knitting needles are back and we couldn't be more excited!  These are truly the Ferrari of knitting needles. Now being produced by Knitter's Pride in India, the Ancestry interchangeable needles have been refreshed and recreated to satisfy all ebony needle addicts! The liquid-silk finish on the lightweight needles, plus the 24K gold finish on the brass connector guarantees snag-free knitting. The smooth cord ensures no twist and lies flat when stored. Smoothly honed and shaped needle tips work well with all yarns. If you haven't worked with Lantern Moon ebony knitting needles before, now is the time to try them! Ebony wood has such a tight grain that the needles feel like silk when they pass across each other - they're perfectly smooth without being slippery. 

The Ancestry set is incredibly versatile.  Containing 9 pairs of 4" tips, you can make almost every size needle you'll ever need.  The shorter tip length allows you to create a 16" circular!  Meaning you can knit your hats without having to buy an extra needle.  Combine this set with our extra swivel cords to make even more longer length needles.

The case is made with Khadi silk, a historically significant Indian material. The exterior features lovely floral motif embroidery. Inside there is room for multiple interchangeable needle tips and cords. The zippered case keeps all contents safely stored and organized. These needle sets are designed by artisans for generations of use by skilled knitters.

Knitter's Pride has upheld Lantern Moon's commitment to produce needles ethically by maintaining safe working conditions, paying a living wage to their employees in India and here in the US, sourcing materials from suppliers who use sustainable forest management practices and using eco-compliant practices in factories. 

Unfortunately, these new Ebony interchangeable parts are not compatible with the original Lantern Moon sets made in Vietnam. However, the good news is, that is because they now come in smaller needle sizes, giving you even more flexibility when choosing a needle.
