Thanks for signing up for Beginning Weaving – Rigid Heddle Loom!
We are excited to teach you to weave!
Please note: Classes are held 2 weeks apart, so you’ll have time to weave.
Make sure you can attend both classes. We DO NOT offer make-ups for missed classes.
Included in your class fee are the following materials:
Ashford 10” Rigid Heddle Loom with all accessories:
7.5dpi (30/10cm) reed, step-by-step instruction booklet,
2x26cm (10") shuttles, threading hook, warping peg and clamp.
Carrying Bag, Fringe Twister, Foam core board for sample weaving
Not included in your class fee and you will need to bring:
Worsted weight wool yarn for warp: 220-300 yards. We recommend using wool. Alpaca can stretch.
Yarn for weaving or the weft: 200 yards. Can be a variety of weights and types. Can be scrap yarn.
***Please make sure all of your yarn is wound and ready to go before both classes.
If you do not have wool at home to bring, please purchase from Atelier:
1 skein of Ella Rae Superwash and 1 skein of Noro’s Kureyon. Or try Noro Silk Garden!
Choose bright colors with lots of contrast. No dark colors please. No black, charcoal, or navy.

Bent Tip Darning Needles (we recommend the Atelier Colored Darning Needle Set, 2 pcs)
13 sheets of 8.5 x 11 printer paper taped together on the 11” side to form one long continuous sheet that will measure approximately 110 inches.

***If you are bringing your own Ashford loom, please bring Bulky weight scrap yarn – 15 yards.
Please make sure your loom is assembled are ready to use.
***If you are bringing a wider Ashford loom, you will need to tape additional sheets together to create a width to fit your loom.

Class sizes are limited. Payment is required at time of registration for all classes. This class may not be rescheduled. Refunds are not given for classes unless cancelled by Atelier Yarns. Atelier Yarns is not responsible for classes missed by students. Any class with fewer than four students enrolled three days before the first class meeting will most likely be cancelled. Fees will be refunded. Please do not bring food or drinks other than water to class. Private instruction is available. Students must be at least 10 years old to attend classes.
